ManilArt 2026
Galleria Nicolas Greenbelt
October 14 – 18, 2026
Galleria Nicolas joins this year’s ManilART, presenting “Where the Heart Resides”, an exhibit comprising stellar genre paintings and sculptures by celebrated artists Marge Organo, Richard Arimado, James Gabito, Almer Moneda, and Xander Calceta.
Each artist brings a distinct sensibility to their respective style. Strokes, lines, molded glass, and rich color palettes enliven the space with images of the Philippines at the turn of the 20th century, offering a distant yet familiar way of life at arm’s reach. The same streets, figures, and townscapes thrive in different worlds of imagination, each brought into existence by the hands of its maker. Arimado, Gabito, Moneda, and Calceta share this vision, their townsfolk seemingly familiar with one another, yet belonging to neighboring dimensions. Organo, meanwhile, provides a point of contrast—her iridescent Santo Niño glass sculptures bring the collective spirit of faith, devotion, and cultural inheritance into the conversation.
Individually, the works hold their own. When grouped, the works do not compete for attention but enter into dialogue, collectively tethering historical memory to modern life, refreshing and reshaping our understanding of a time when life was simple but beautiful. Ultimately, the exhibition celebrates and examines the enduring resonance of Filipino memory—how we remember the lives that came before us, and how their images, customs, and ideals continue to shape and influence our daily lives.
“Where the Heart Resides: A Celebration of Filipino Art”, featuring the works of Marge Organo, Richard Arimado, James Gabito, Almer Moneda, and Xander Calceta, will be at Booth C1 in ManilART. The convention runs from October 14–18 at the SMX Aura Convention Center, Taguig City.
